IF you love the great outdoors, it's possible to look good while you do it. So, whether you're planting and pruning, or strolling to the shops, it's time to embrace the natural elements.
To create a natural base, Jemma Kidd (pictured below, right) Light As Air Foundation (£15, Boots), moisturises and provides a light-to-medium coverage, with a velvety shine-free finish.

Bobbi Brown's tinted moisturising balm with SPF 25 (£32) is
perfect for those looking for minimal coverage and a healthy glow. Or opt for Laura Mercier's mineral powder (£30, Space NK). The finely milled powder, made of natural elements, clears the skin of toxins, promotes healthy skin cell growth and fights the ageing process. Contains SPF 15.

For perky peepers, there's Jemma Kidd Define: Stay Put Eyeliner in 'Earth' (£9, Boots), a wearable brown shade that stays put, thanks to the added Vitamin E. Clinique's Brush-on Cream Liner (£13) is one of the best smudge-proof, waterproof and long-wearing liners which brushes on a deep, smokey defining colour.

Build colour with No7's Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Palette in Good Earth (£9.50, Boots) , a set of creams and slates. Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Air Guitar (£11.50, Boots) is a sky-blue shade that can be worn alone or over eye shadow to make your eyes sparkle. And define lashes with a layer of mascara. Rimmel's Magnifeyes is a lash-sculpting mascara (£4.99, Superdrug) and Clinique's High Definition Lashes (£12.50) both give drama in one swoop.

A natural glow is a sweep away with MAC Blushcreme in 'Blossoming' (£14, Harvey Nichols), a gentle coral shade with pearl finish to give a radiant look. And for pretty lips, there's MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner Stick SPF15 (£10.50, Harvey Nichols) , in Strobe Blossom.

Finally, to breathe life back into tired faces, spritz some hydrating mist such as Urban Retreat's The Hydrating Mist (£10, Boots) .

Lock in moisture all over with a nourishing body cream. Soap & Glory's Big Butter Lemon, Flowers & Orange (£9.50, Boots and Harvey Nichols) is a lovely tub of good ingredients, including cocoa butter, sweet orange oil, aloe vera and vitamin C. Korres' new Fig body butter (£11.50, Harvey Nichols) is luxurious and moisturising. This rich, smoothing cream contains fig extract, is rich in minerals and vitamins and provides energy to the cells, while regenerating and toning the skin.

For a sensual aroma try Innocent Rock EDT (£27, The Perfume Shop), Addict 2 Summer Litchi EDT (£36.99) or Penhaligon's Artemisia fragrance (£60) which contains head notes of nectarine and green foliage, heart notes of green apple, jasmine tea, violet and vanilla and base notes of amber.

So be a natural beauty this summer... without so much as a speck of soil under your fingers.

FLYING OFF THE SHELVES
Benefit's Pocket Pal, £14.50. Why carry around a Benetint and separate lip gloss when this little duo contain both the essentials, in one dinky pen? Snap up one fast from Boots, Jenners or Harvey Nichols before the limited edition set sells out.

THE NEXT BIG THING
Dolce & Gabbana's men's fragrance – The One (£23.99, The Perfume Shop). The heady scent of oriental spices contains top notes of grapefruit, coriander and basil, heart notes of cardamom, ginger and orange blossom, and base notes of cedarwood and amber.

Trust us, this is one fragrance that is good enough to eat. And it's nothing to do with having Matthew McConaughey as the face of this new fragrance...
