ONE in ten Scots think St Andrew's Day should be about modern heroes like Chris Hoy.
The Olympic gold medal cyclist is closing in on the nation's patron saint as the main reason to celebrate on November 30.

He's inspired some Scots so much that they will be thinking of him on Sunday, rather than historic heroes like William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and St Andrew himself.

The survey of over 1000 Scots was done by Famous Grouse. They are bidding to cash in on St Andrew's Day in the same way Guinness is famously associated with Ireland's St Patrick's Day.
