Ryanair plans £8 transatlantic fare

BUDGET airline Ryanair is set to launch transatlantic flights from just £8 by buying cheap planes from struggling rivals.
The plan was due to be unveiled today as chief executive Michael O'Leary announces the company's half-year results.

I wish Rynair would start operating on the Stornoway to Glasgow run as we are fed up being ripped off by BA and their subsidiaries.

At the current prices charged, £8 wouldn't even get you from the terminal to the end of the runway.

It won't be 8GBP by the time they add on airport taxes, baggage costs, charges for check-in etc.
Personally I prefer slEasyJet or Germanwings.mcuh more akin to a real airline yet still good value.

I wish someone would open the air-strip on Skye again....it's been talk talk talk for bl0ody years and nothing has happened except cash spent on metings and evaluation etc etc.

All very well getting across the Atlantic for £8.00 but the taxi ride from Tenerife to JFK is a beeatch. :o)

I suspect this is just fluff to distract from their halved profits
