Tour firm increases Canada flights

SCOTLAND'S largest tour operator to Canada has announced it will run more flights than ever next summer, increasing seats on some routes by nearly half.

The move by Canadian Affair comes despite high fuel prices and the collapse last month of holiday airlines Zoom and XL.

The tour firm, whose flights are operated by Air Transat and Thomas Cook, will increase Glasgow-Toronto flights from six to nine a week from next May.

It will also operate separate flights between Glasgow and Calgary and Vancouver, which were previously combined. Weekly Edinburgh-Toronto flights will continue.
