What a total and utter eejit Ian Marchant is, does he really believe his dreamworld in his quest to relieve us of as much of our hard earned cash as he can.
I fail to see why the hootsmon gives him space for his greenwashing drivel.

No 'eejit' he! Consider his earnings as chief executive of SSE, which also seems to allow him the time off to write such drivel. Then consider the likely golden handshake and pension when he retires.

It would also seem by this article he plans a further career writing fairy stories;..............in fact given the above he may already have signed a contract with the hootsman. Now isn't that a fearful thought?

Is this guy really running SS&E?? I depair! As far as I can see he's saying that for electricity generation, wind is the answer!! Why then are we being told by EoN that wind requires some 80-90% coventional power generation backup and this guy Marchant doesn't even mention it? marchant signally fails to tell us how we keep our lights on when the wind is not blowing, is blowing too little or blowing to strongly.
i'm sorry but for a CEO of a major electricity generating company to gloss over reality beggars belief!!
Little wonder that Scottish power generation companies are being taken over by more sensible people!! Maybe he's preparing for a career move to FoE??
This guy could give Hans Christian Anderson a run for his money!!
