Council refuses to reveal bullying and harassment details

COUNCIL officials have declined to disclose any allegations of bullying, assault or sexual harassment made against local authority staff in Edinburgh.
A freedom of information request was sent to the council, asking for information on all allegations and subsequent disciplinary action taken since 2004.
But head of human resources, Philip Barr, said: "While information that meets the requirement of (the] request may exist, it is not held centrally and there is no corporate reporting requirement for this information to be aggregated in a manner that would meet (the] request. The information is either not formally recorded, has been disposed of, cannot be obtained within allowable cost parameters or falls outwith the scope of the Act."
