IT'S more at home in far-flung climes such as India and New Guinea, but this green-winged dove has got staff at Edinburgh Zoo in a flap after escaping to Clermiston.
The bird, which went missing four weeks ago, has been spotted several times in a garden just a mile away from the zoo.
But despite keepers' attempts to recapture it with a trap and a net, it has now disappeared again.
Alan Rex, 51, and wife Christine, 47, spotted the bird in the garden of their Clerwood Gardens home two weeks ago.
Gavin Harrison, senior bird keeper at the zoo, said the bird had escaped from the walk-through Australian Aviary. He appealed to members of the public who spot the bird to get in touch.
