WHO are they?

A charming London-based folk pop combo, fronted by ukulele-wielding Glaswegian singer/songwriter Tamara Schlesinger.
What does a 6 Day Riot sound like?

Very mellifluous yet percussive, as it turns out, deploying a patchwork of instruments – melodica, accordion, trumpet – to drum up klezmer, calypso and mariachi flavours. Their new album 6 Day Ri
ot Have A Plan features songs about panic attacks, flying to Canada and John Darwin, the missing-presumed-dead canoeist who had actually been living it up in Panama for years.

Any other competent business?

Schlesinger was a former member of the Scottish gymnastics team whose dreams of competing at the Olympics were scuppered by "a rubbish mat" she landed on in a Polish competition.

What are other folks saying?

"Stealing beats and licks from all over the folk-pop globe, ukulele-led acoustica bursting with a joyous Afro-Latin energy. Recalling the post punk clatter of Bow Wow Wow with a side order of Vampire Weekend" – Uncut
