Listing isn't a guarantee against demolition, #1, it's a presumption and can be challenged.

I wouldn't want to see any more lost but this is maybe the only one that's still in a working location and was getting in the way. It's not accessible to the public either, unlike the ones at Finnieston and Clydebank, so no-one was really getting any benefit from it.
