Published Date: 20 November 2008
CSABA LASZLO has predicted that Hearts medical staff will rehabilitate Mike Tullberg in the same way they restored Bruno Aguiar, Robbie Neilson and Christian Nade to full fitness.
The Danish forward is due to resume training by the end of this week after suffering a second ruptured thigh muscle prior to last month's Edinburgh derby. He has made just two appearances in maroon since completing a season-long loan deal from the Italian side Reggina during the summer.

Hearts' medical staff and physios have gradually helped Tullberg return to some basic fitness work and are taking him through a similar programme to that which aided the recoveries of Aguiar, Neilson and Nade. Laszlo told the Evening News he expects a full recovery from the player.

"The physios are working with him separately from the team," said the manager today. "They are trying to make him strong, the same way they helped Bruno, Robbie and Christian Nade come back. I don't see any problem with Mike's fitness, it will just take time.

"He will be training by the end of the week and maybe he will be fit against Rangers next Saturday. He is working with the physios but we cannot wait for him to be 100 per cent. The player is working well and the most important for him is to be injury-free.

"Once that happens we can help him to come back quickly."

Meanwhile, Larry Kingston has spoken out about the discord caused by his trip to Ghana for last night's international friendly against Tunisia, which ended in a goalless draw.

As revealed in Tuesday's Evening News, the midfielder upset Laszlo by making a 4000-mile journey for a game he cannot play in due to a leg injury. But Kingston said he had to prove to the Ghanaian FA that he was not lying about the problem, which causes him pain when passing the ball or shooting.

"I am not in Accra to play the game but I am here to prove my country's FA that I was not lying when I said I am injured," he said. "I am very sad that this has come out as if I have defied the club and the coach I respect so much just to be here.

"I had very good intentions for the good of my club and it is the reason why I came. I want to make it clear that I will not do anything to mar the good relationship I have with Mr Laszlo and the fans.

"Some people in Ghana think that when we foreign-based players say we are injured it might not be true, so I wanted to prove to them. Some fans of the national team who are also very passionate can even physically attack me or my family over this, that's why I am here to prove to everyone that I am injured.

"Last month, when I was invited for the friendly against South Africa, I pleaded with my the Ghana FA to leave me out because I would have returned on a Friday when my club had a game on Saturday. As the Ghana coach agreed to my request, when I continue missing the matches without giving any proof some might think I am being a truant.

"There is also a new national team coach for Ghana (Milovan Rajevac] and if I don't make any effort for him to see he might also have a different view of me.

"I will call coach Laszlo soon and have a chat with him and, having coached in Africa before, he will sympathise with me."

Change the record!! So predictable it almost amusing. I seem to remember Inverness beating Hibs, St Mirren beating Rangers, do you follow either of these teams?

Do you see us jumping for joy at the manner of these victories?

You sir are a trumpet.

I think Mike looked good up front for us at a time when we were struggling slightly... Killie, I think, he was bereft of suply at the time but made good runs, was always in the right position and never stopped moving. Csaba says he will consider playing him up front beside Nade... Sounds good to me.

Larry? I hope he sorts his head out soon after his wee huff but either way, we will survive just fine without him (as our three latest wins without him show) or we will get one of the top 5 most gifted technical players in the SPL back.

Its become an embarrassment to be a Hearts fan with the likes of #1 drivelling their nonsense and no doubt one of those that boo their team of at half and / or full time, even when we win ugly. God help any sons they have if they play school football, no doubt they'll jear them along to higher things. Vlad has been an embarrassment to this great club but that's no excuse for the fans to follow suite. If you can't follow the club and actually provide players with support and encouragement then go and spue your bile elswhere because your not welcome within the Hearts family.

i hope so too but they are rerally up against it just now and don't look anywhere near the standard neaded to compete in the SPL... thank god for Accies though or we may otherwise have had to suffer another season of no derbies! Like we had to in 98 when they were relegated last... Think we won some wee trophy that year, ah yes the Scottish Cup it was... I am hazy on my history but have Hibs won that in the last 100 years?

Come on guy's give the Hibs a break, they must be feeling pretty low lying in 9th place with a goal differance of -6 and 7 points behind the JT's,
Hibs do have world class players
Hibs do have the most potent strike force in the UK
THEY DO THEY DO THEY DO!!!

Another battle ahead against Falkirk but another clean sheet would do the business. Bound to take at least one of our chances and keep on ticking along in 3rd place. Would be great to have a goalscoring striker and Tullberg may ease into the side now we have a bit of confidence when he gets himself fit.

There going down, there going down,

It's been patently obvious what Hearts are screaming out for and hopefully Tullberg can answer that problem

That aside bar the Celtic game we have done well with what we have and i'm quite pleased.ICT summed our fighting spirit up

Only late goals and missed chances at the end of games have stopped Hearts from taking a stronger third

Thats fitbaw though but if we can add wisely in January nout wrong in thinking we can be best of the rest

Unless hibs release their flair on the SPL that is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk o' the Toun,

Confident CSABA will get KINGSTON back playing sooner rather than later....no matter what anyone thinks of him he has the quality to improve the current team if(hopefully when) he applies himself.

Tullberg an unknown quantity but can only improve our options in a badly needed area.

We are sitting 3rd and to date we have not been anywhere nesr fielding our best 11.Assuming all fit/motivated(only ? is LK) Nade/aguier/Driver/Kingston/Tullberg/Obua/Neilson(no smart remarks he has added experience/done well since his return) are like new signings.

With Templeton/Rapnik/Husband/McGowan & Glen all young players not far away from the 1st team our squad(hopefully augmented by a couple of sinings incl another forward) looks excellent.....AND with a vastly reduced wage bill... how can that be under VR;thought he was only interested in Lith players(even a % of HEARTS fans have failed to notice that VR has been correcting his own errors for a while now0????)

3 points Saturday & bring on the current buns.

#38 A lot of good points there. Csaba has only been with us a few months and he has steadied the ship. Obviously there is lot of work to do but we're going in the right direction. Remember what it was like this time last year.
41

The Gorgie Boys Are In Town,

20/11/2008 15:32:09
Csabas appointment for me was the indicator that Vlad was seeing his ways weren't working, not before time right enough but better late than never. Have a young talented squad with a bit of confidence back and with the right stewardship definately on the up. Fourth spot is good enough for the Eufa next season and i think anywhere in those positions for his first full season will be tremendous. I remember JJ did that in his first season then built a team capable of winning the Scottish cup, (same season the hobos dropped a division) and a strong league campaign going very close. If Micky had been fit....who knows......

43

cannyseetheflairlike,

20/11/2008 16:03:30
Mole & Makela are p1sh and no 29 is no better

Tullberg wont have to stick out much to keep the above out the team Xl

Two or so decent signings in Jan and who knows but indications of a decent SPL finish so far are a lot better than they were two months ago

Pity we canyt buy flair !!

#2 One sure way to remain in the SPL or any other league come to that, is to beat the teams below you and 3 wins out of three will certainly help us do that, win a few more and we can remain in the top six and if we do more than that who knows.
