Agnes Gilbert, 46, a housewife from South Queensferry, tells us her top five places to entertain her two sons under six.
The National Gallery, The Mound We've only just started bringing the kids here because they really like the Impressionists, who they find less scary or dark than some of the other artwork.

Royal Botanic Garden, We especially enjoy the hot houses and mainly visit in spring when the weather is good.

West Princes Street Gardens, The playground here has just been refurbished and it's really popular with young families with kids, so it's easy for mine to find playmates.

Inverleith Park, Arboretum Place This is perfect for both me and the kids as I enjoy the Stock-bridge charity shops and they love to feed the ducks.

Museum of Childhood, High Street The array of toys, from train sets to space invaders, and from as early as the nineteenth century, keeps all of us interested.
