Caroline Brunton, 28, a civil servant from Meadowbank, lists her top five places to eat out in and around the city.
Hendersons, Hanover Street One of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city and very popular with meat eaters too. Lots of choice with some spectacular combinations.

First Coast, Dalry Road An amazing restaurant, always with a mouth-watering menu. Great, relaxed setting and very friendly staff.

Urban Angel, Hanover Street The tapas here is just fantastic, as is the brunch menu which is served all day.

The Hawes Inn, South Queensferry Wholesome cooking at its best. Traditional pub food with a twist – a great Sunday lunch with a lovely homely feel.

The Dome, George Street Always a treat on special occasions and an excuse to get more dressed up than usual. Also a favourite place for afternoon tea.
