CHRISTINE ELLIOTT, 52, a solicitor from Haddington, recommends five things for a visitor to do in Edinburgh.
Go and see The Real Mary King's Close. Whether or not you believe in ghosts, this trip beneath the Royal Mile is still a spooky experience.

Get on a tour bus from Waverley Bridge. Some tours are better than others, it depends on the guide. But if you want to see the city and not do any walking then they're ideal.

A visit to Edinburgh Castle. This is a must for all tourists. Apart from the history, the views from the Castle across to Fife and the Pentland Hills are breathtaking.

Book up for a Cadies & Witchery tour. You're guaranteed a great time on them even if you do get frightened witless by the stories.

Visit Dynamic Earth on Holyrood Road. This is fun for all the family and is crammed full of things to see and do. I take the grandkids and they love it.
