Douglas McArthur, 38, an IT technician from Abbeyhill, picks his top five Edinburgh sporting activities.
Climbing at Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, Ratho I just love escaping from it all up a wall.

Swimming at the Royal Commonwealth Pool Swimming is one of the best sports for an all-over workout.

Five-a-side at World of Football Great surfaces and a roof so games never get rained off.

Badminton at Meadowbank I play in a mini-league at Meadowbank – it would be terrible if the city lost these facilities.

Golf, anywhere in the city I'm not a member of a specific club but enjoy the fresh sea air at Portobello and Craigentinny.
