Edward McCracken, 29, writer, Granton, lists his top five places to enjoy art.
The Fruitmarket Gallery, Market Street Its current exhibit is the best it has ever shown.
Doggerfisher Gallery, Gayfield Square Edinburgh's top contemporary art gallery.
Inverleith House Its programme is probably more adventurous than the formal surroundings of the Royal Botanic Garden would suggest.
Dean Gallery, Belford Road Interesting exhibitions and great for its giant Eduardo Paolozzi robot.
Little Sparta To the south of the city, this is Ian Hamilton Finlay's garden. Probably Scotland's greatest work of art.
