Ken Murray, 46, from Shandon, is a software engineer. He picks his favourite bike rides in and around Edinburgh.
The Pentlands It's great to be able to get into real hills. Enough variety of routes to keep me happy, good climbs, and descents.

National Cycle Route 1 Nice quiet backroads lead out of town towards the Moorfoots. Great views of the city on the way back.

City centre to Leith A brilliant freewheel most of the way down.

Roseburn Cycle Path This used to be my cycle to work. It was good to be able to get off the roads.

Home to Shandon from my office in Moray Place Always a winner, regardless of the route or the weather!
