Derek Cranston, 49, Scottish Government policy officer, from Sighthill, names his top five pubs and clubs in Leith.
Jan's Place, Queen Charlotte Street. A real slice of auld Leith toun, with some great characters and crack, from super Kev the demon pool player to Gordon, the expert on all things Wishbone Ash.

The Tor, Restalrig Road. Another example of what Leith's really about. I've recently adopted this as my local and I've been made to feel most welcome.

Carriers Quarters, Bernard Street. A really compact, atmospheric band venue. Check it out on Sunday nights when the excellent Jammy Devils play.

Central Bar, Leith Walk. Traditionally a great music venue, which provides a real snap shot of old Leith.

Post Office Club, Restalrig Drive. As a member of the table tennis club whose home matches are played here I can't speak too highly of the committee members who have done so much to help us.
