<description><![CDATA[<p>Brechin,which is a tiny little city, is full of history, heroics and histrionics. The little guy on the wall of Brechin Castle, after a long siege, told Edward I where to go. He was hanged for his refusal to submit. <br /> Butcher' Cumberland came through this way to Culloden. He was given short thrift. Doors were closed to him, and the rumour went around that the water was poisoned. It probably was; to the English and lowland Scots regiments alike. <br /> The father of radar was born here: Sir Robert Alexander Watson-Watt. Radio Detection and Ranging. By the lend-lease agreement all Britain's secrets had to be given to the Americans. Therefore: America discovered Radar, Rockets, ASDIC, Television and the Telephone.</p>]]></description>
