THE age for securing a marriage visa to enter the UK is to be raised from 18 to 21 in an effort to crack down on people being forced into relationships, the government announced yesterday.
The change to the immigration rules will come into force on 27 November and will mean both the intended husband and wife will have to be 21 before a marriage visa can be issued.

Very sensible, but just wait for the backlash...and it'll come from precisely the quarter that the crackdown is aimed at.

Well, I think arranged marriages should be banned in the UK. It is not a British costom so why should it be allowed. When we go to other countries, we have to abide by their laws, so they should abide by ours.
