Homemade booze kills 12 in Iran

TWELVE people in southern Iran have died after drinking homemade liquor and dozens more have been blinded or are in a serious condition, health workers said yesterday.
Alcohol is banned in the Islamic Republic.

The tiny minority of Iran's Christians, who mainly live in northern Iran, are permitted to make alcohol for personal consumption.

If I had known I could make my own booze I would have stayed on in Iran.
Light the alcohol if it burns with a blue flame it should be OK, on the other hand if the guy selling it has an eyepatch and an ear-ring watch out..
