A MAN molested a teenage boy and threatened to have him taken away in a van and hurt if he didn't allow it to continue, a court has heard.
Ian Samson, 67, preyed on the 13-year-old boy, forcing him to come to his home and abusing him on a weekly basis for a year.

Yesterday at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, Samson admitted sexually abusing the boy between February 2007 and February 2008. Fiscal depute John Cook said the devastated and confused boy ran home after the first assault at Samson's home and hid in his bedroom.

A week later, the boy went back and Samson continued the abuse.

Sheriff Noel McPartlin told Samson, of Coalgate Avenue, Tranent, that it is likely he will face jail. He will be sentenced in July.
