I've taken visitors to Hailes Castle often but never seen/felt any ghosts.

On the other hand, I've seen a ghost (an old lady in a white dress - Victorian style) at Traquair twice.

I wouldn't stay at the County Hotel in Selkirk, my granddad stayed in the middle bedroom (1st upstairs floor), and never got a wink of sleep - an angry lady in blue crossed back and forth all night - the next day, the manager refunded the B&B cost.

There's often ghosts walking on the old road to Newcastleton, and around Branxholme Castle - they're quite friendly.

What an excellent read and Well Done to the Scottish Paranormal Team. I had to opportunity to attend an overnight investigation conducted by SP in MKC during ghost fest and found the team professional and informative as well as taking a sceintific approach to prove or disprove any paranormal activity. I've read a little on Hailes Castle but its always great to get some additional historical backgound and to read first hand what others have experienced while visiting.
Again Thanks for a great read.

Hello,

Thank You, Julia Horton-
I find this write up about Scottish Paranormal very true. When I have been on location with them, in the past, on investigations~ it is very clear that they try to rule out what could be just noise or known items- compaired to true paranormal responses from "the other side". I find the article very true to the nature of the seriousness of finding evidence about the paranormal. Scottish Paranormal loves evidence that can back them up with what questionable or possible information they can find. They are always keen to find the information about the history of a place and seem to understand the importance of being professional yet "real" to every day occurances. Thanks for this write up! I enjoyed it!

Just me... bonnie
