TELEVISION ghosthunters are to investigate some of the Capital's most haunted places in three special live programmes leading up to Hallowe'en.
Living TV presenters Yvette Fielding and Karl Beattie will be leading the team underground at three locations in Edinburgh where ghostly sightings and experiences have been reported in the past.

They will be joined by a parapsychologist and a medium who will measure any unusual activities.

Their investigation will be followed by a studio audience of around 800 people in the McEwan Hall, in Teviot Place, and will be shown live between 9pm and midnight on October 29, 30 and 31.

Presenter Yvette Fielding said: "We're all very excited about coming to Scotland, but also approach it with trepidation, as you never know what you could uncover in the darkest and eeriest of locations."

Hopefully they do not revisit the sites they have already been to in the Most Haunted programmes e.g. The Edinburgh Vaults and Mary Kings Close.

I will stick me neck out and say they won't find any evidence of supernatural happenings.
I know. I am a cynical old thing :)

If they come to my local pub they will find plenty of spirits there.

Most Haunted is a load of crap. I watched the one in the South Bridge Vaults and the one in Mary Kings. Load of guff!!!!!!

Mind you-- I'd like to see Yvette and Derek Acorah locked in Covenanters alone for a night. That place has got some serious spook going on.

Covenantors is as good or as bad as the Vaults or Mary Kings Close.
I would like to see them go to the Tron Kirk or the Niddry Street Vaults. Also Dalhousie Castle just outside Edinburgh.Or the Witchery at the top of the Royal Mile. You could also look at the National Library of Scotland or the Three Tuns pub.In fact there are hotels and pubs in the Grassmarket full of stories about ghostly sightings.
Wherever they go though the one place they should go to but won't be allowed to is the Castle itself.

I'm looking forward to this greatly. Always a good show, and I can't wait to come home to Scotland after too many years away!

Can't wait for this, I have tickets for the audience on Sunday night. I hope they explore different areas in Edinburgh than Mary King's Close and the Vaults. Would like to see them in the Covenanter's Prison.

Looks like we have all been disappointed. Same places as before and as for the Nichol Vaults where it had never before been investigated they never stayed long because Karl had done a runner back to the stones circles and wanted to fight the ghosts. Found it good though where Stu, Karl and Jon had all stood inside the circle and all had scratch marks. One thing I did find odd was I thought that these locations were all meant to be sealed off to members of the public but on the Your Say section after midnight on Webcam 1 there was obviously a member of the public had gained access to the vaults as he was dancing around in front of the webcam. Did anyone else see this? Hopefully with tonight being Halloween MKC will be much better.
