Chain cuts price of stamps by 5%

A HIGH street chain has cut the price of first-class stamps by 5 per cent.
Superdrug shaved 20p off the standard Royal Mail price for a book of 12 first-class stamps, bringing it down to £3.64.

The Royal Mail said its contracts with non-Post Office retailers allowed them to sell stamps at whatever price they wanted.

Does this Royal Mail 'contract' mean that retailers can effectively charge OVER the full £3.84 price ("at whatever price they wanted")?

Seems this is the case. I was charged 1p over the odds for a stamp in a newsagents shop recently, and I have since discovered that this is common practice.
Anyway, I bought the stamp but purchased my newspaper elsewhere.
