What is your earliest memory of Edinburgh? Going to Holyrood Park to roll my Easter eggs with my grandparents. It was great to be so high up on Arthur's Seat and looking over Edinburgh.
What are your memories of school? I went to Currie High School and I remember we had a history teacher who made learning fun. We went on strike for him when we were told he was being moved to another school.
Where is your favourite place in Edinburgh and why? I love Princes Street and George Street because I can't resist the shops. I really like all the high street stores and you can't beat Zara, River Island and Jenners.
What are the best things about Edinburgh? It has to be the restaurants, clubs and theatre. Also, the views in the city are always fantastic, even if it's raining.
What would you change about the city? There are road works everywhere at the moment and the parking restrictions are a nightmare but, once the tram is up and running, I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Describe a perfect Edinburgh day/night out. I'd maybe start with lunch at the Omni Centre followed by lots of shopping before relaxing in Princes Street Gardens. My favourite Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh is the Orchid Lodge on Castle Street where they serve fantastic food.
Which sports interest you? I don't know if I can say this in Edinburgh, but I'm an ardent Aberdeen FC fan. I also loved playing football when I was at school and we were one of the first primary school girls' teams.
What was your most embarrassing moment? It was my first week at Currie High and the teacher asked us one at a time to stand up and say our name. I said "Carole" and he said "wait a minute" and took a guitar out of the cupboard and started to sing "Oh Carole". I remember crawling under the desk.
What is your greatest achievement? For years I sold travel goods and wanted a new challenge so I took up a post working for the Pagazzi Lighting. It is a complete change and I'm so glad to have made it.
