VISITORS to Princes Street Gardens will be treated to a free Military Tattoo performance next week.
Musicians, singers, dancers, percussionists and acrobats from all over the world will gather next Thursday at the Ross Theatre for the Royal Bank of Scotland's Taste of the Tattoo.

The event, which will showcase 300 performers from around the glob
e, will provide those who were not able to get hold of a ticket for the sold-out Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the Castle Esplanade the chance to experience a taste of the popular event.

Tattoo chief executive and producer Major General Euan Loudon said: "I've set my sights on providing spectators with one of Edinburgh's best free shows."

The one-hour show will feature the showmanship of the Golden Eagles Marching Band from Missouri, as well as performances from the Guard of His Majesty The King of Norway, the acclaimed band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland and the talents of 50 young Canadian Highland Dancers with a contemporary dance display.

Ten top Military Tattoo acts will also take part in the event, including 60 representatives from the Massed Pipes and Drums, an all-women police pipe band and 40 musicians from The Indian Army chief's military band.
