53 immigrants held captive by smugglers

USA: Fifty-three illegal immigrants have been held against their will in a fortified home in Phoenix, Arizona, by suspected smugglers demanding more money, authorities said.
The group of immigrants, who were rescued yesterday, included two 13-year-old girls, three women and a mentally disabled man.

China: One person has been arrested and five others warned or detained for their roles in a protest against plans for a petrochemical project.

I assume that, having been 'recued' these immigrants will be repatriated.
