Brazilian banker to be extradited

BRAZIL'S most wanted white-collar criminal will be extradited from Monaco to face charges over one of the country's biggest bank frauds ever, the justice ministry said yesterday.
Salvatore Cacciola, the head of Banco Marka, was sentenced to 13 years' prison in absentia in 2005 on charges of embezzlement – he had fled the country while awaiting trial.
